Gives you an instant cooking flame. To store LPG, you require very sturdy tanks and cylinders.
Is easy and instantaneous to light. In colder climates or conditions, there is a known problem related to starting due to the low vapour pressure of propane.
Is easy to control. The blue flame is visible and its size is easily controlled over a wide range so that the required rate of heating can be obtained. More Expensive
Is non-poisonous and safe to use. LPG boilers and gas stoves need regular maintenance to ensure that they are running efficiently.
Burns cleanly and does not produce any soot, smoke or smell during combustion, therefore leaving your kitchen clean. Increased awareness yet to be created with regard to safe storage of LPG cylinders in domestic properties.
Is pure, and very consistent in quality. LPG is highly inflammable
Cooking is quick and the kitchen does not get heated as with other fuels like wood or charcoal. Potentially very hazardous.
Is compatible with many different appliances and easy to maintain. Transporting LPG is not very easy.
